About Us

Our organization was born out of a deep-seated desire to make a difference in the lives of veterans and their furry companions. A few years ago, I found myself in a position where I needed help, and simultaneously, I had the ability to provide assistance to others. This led me to become involved with a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans. In exchange for managing their property and addressing the day-to-day challenges that arose, I was offered a place to live and rebuild my life. While I was uncertain about what exactly I would rebuild, I made the non-profit my focus, recognizing that it aligned with my limited skill set and my passion for helping others.
As I dedicated myself to this cause, I discovered a newfound affinity for working with dogs. Friends who knew about my background began seeking my help with their pets, despite my initial reservations about my lack of formal pet training expertise. However, their insistence paid off, and I soon realized that my experience in dealing with seemingly trivial problems that pet owners faced allowed me to make a tangible impact. The positive results spoke for themselves, and I found myself being propelled into a new career path through referrals and word of mouth.
This newfound passion for dog training presented a unique challenge: I found myself torn between my responsibilities as a property manager for a non-profit and my burgeoning career as a dog trainer. Faced with circumstances on both sides that I had been provided, both by chance and choice, I encountered my first experience in the non-profit world. Ultimately, I made the difficult decision to pursue dog training full-time, recognizing that it was the path that truly resonated with me. However, I was determined to find a way for both worlds to coexist.
In an effort to bridge these two passions, I undertook the daunting task of boarding service dogs for veterans when they unexpectedly required hospitalization or lacked the means to care for their loyal companions. This endeavor allowed me to continue supporting veterans through the non-profit while also pursuing my love for working with dogs. The intersection of these two worlds marked the beginning of our journey as an organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans and their faithful canine companions.
Please follow and support Chad’s Promise, who will board veteran’s dogs of any capacity if they feel that dog is essential to their mental or physical health, and they are committed to being reunited with them when they’re better. That’s it. No patches, vests, or internet certificates required. There’s no need for boarding documented, well-trained service dogs. I checked, it hardly exists. There are tons of veterans with companions they don’t think they can live without, and that’s a service.
